How to compare a Bluetooth speaker

How we choose products: rows come from in-stock affiliate feeds that have a name, a price, and a photo when the shop sent one. We do not test the products, and a higher commission does not move a shop up the list.
A Bluetooth speaker is a size and a power source. A waterproof claim and a battery figure are the maker’s words, not our test.
Which speaker you mean
Search Bluetooth speaker. Electronics as a department is often cables and headsets, not a speaker aisle, so do not expect this list to live only there. A portable battery speaker, a mains bookshelf speaker, and a soundbar are different products. Match the one you will actually plug in or carry.
Stereo pair versus a single mono box changes the price. A cheaper single is not the pair. If the title says ‘pair’, read whether you are buying two speakers or one speaker that claims stereo. Water and dust ratings belong in the title if you need them for a kitchen or a garden. We do not spray the speakers.
Battery or mains
A battery life number is the maker’s, at a volume they chose. Use it to match two listings of the same model, not as a FindAProduct measurement. A mains-only speaker has no battery figure and should not be compared as if it did. Read the power source before the price.
Connections
Bluetooth version, an aux socket, and Wi-Fi casting are different features. If you need a wired input, the title or the shop page has to list it. A speaker that is only an app is a different product from one with a dial. Voice assistants are included only when named. Do not infer them from a photo of a phone beside the box.
A strap, a power supply, and a second speaker for pairing may be extra. Read the box contents. Colourways of the same model are the same comparison only if you want that colour.
Sound claims we will not repeat as fact
Watts on a small speaker are easy to inflate. We do not measure loudness and we will not tell you a speaker fills a room. Match the model code between shops, then read the shop’s description. If two shops list the same code, the feed prices are worth lining up. If they list two similar names, they may be two models.
Postage is usually modest and still not in the feed price. Returns if you dislike the sound are the shop’s rule and are often time-limited. Read them. Visit retailer is an affiliate link. You pay the shop. Commission does not choose the speaker.
Not headphones
Headphones have their own department and guide. A pair of earbuds in a speaker search is the wrong row. Ignore it when you are pricing a speaker.
When to leave
Leave a title with no model and no clue whether it is battery or mains. Leave a soundbar when you wanted a portable box. Leave a row you cannot read. If the model you want is missing, search the model code. If it is absent, stop. A nearby speaker of a different size is a different product.
The checklist is power source, one or a pair, the inputs you need, and the shop’s returns line. Then the price. Not the other way round.
Name the box you will actually use
Search Bluetooth speaker. The electronics department is often cables and headsets, so do not expect a speaker aisle to live only there. A portable battery speaker, a mains bookshelf speaker, and a soundbar are different products. Match the one you will carry or the one you will leave on a sideboard.
A pair and a single change the price. Read whether you are buying two speakers or one speaker that claims a stereo effect. A cheaper single is not the pair. Water and dust ratings belong in the title if you need the speaker in a kitchen or a garden. We do not spray them, and we do not turn a rating code into a promise about rain.
Battery life is the maker’s figure, at a volume they chose. Use it to match two listings of the same model, not as a measurement from this site. A mains-only speaker has no battery life and should not be compared as if it did. Read the power source before the price.
Inputs, charging, and the box contents
Bluetooth is not the only input that matters. An aux socket, a USB socket, and Wi-Fi casting are different. If you need a wired input for a device that has no radio, the title or the shop page has to list it. A speaker that is only an app is a different product from one with a dial you can turn without a phone.
Voice assistants are included only when they are named. Do not infer them from a photo of a phone beside the box. A strap, a power supply, and a charging cable may be extra. Read the contents. Colourways of the same model are the same comparison only if you want that colour.
Watts on a small speaker are easy to inflate. We do not measure loudness and we will not tell you a speaker fills a room. Match the model code between shops, then read one shop’s description. Similar names can be two models. Headphones have their own department. Earbuds in a speaker search are the wrong row.
Returns if you dislike the sound
Postage is usually modest and still not in the feed price. A return because you dislike the sound is the shop’s rule and is often time-limited. Read it before you pay if you are choosing blind. An opened speaker may be harder to send back than a sealed one. That is their policy.

Leave a soundbar when you wanted a portable box. If the model is missing, search the model code. If it is absent, stop. A nearby speaker of a different size is a different product. The order is power source, one or a pair, the inputs you need, the returns line, then the price.
