Before you click Visit retailer

How we choose products: rows come from in-stock affiliate feeds that have a name, a price, and a photo when the shop sent one. We do not test the products, and a higher commission does not move a shop up the list.
Visit retailer is the action on a product page. Use it after the listing still looks like the thing you meant to buy.
Photo and name
The photo should be the product, not a placeholder and not a different colour from the title. The name should be something a person would search. A string of keywords, a non-English sentence, or a replica pattern is a reason to go back. Broken HTML in a description is stripped when we can. An empty description means you only have the name, the price, and the shop.
If there is no usable image, the page is a thin feed row. Those pages are not the ones we ask search engines to index.
Shop and price
Read the shop name on each offer. Two shops means you can compare. One shop means you are about to visit that shop, not a market. Postage is not in the feed price. The was-price badge, if you see one, passed a plausibility check. If you do not see one, we did not have a was-price we were willing to print.
Adult and sexual-merchandise titles are excluded from the public catalogue. If you are looking for those, this is not the site for them.
The hop itself
Visit retailer goes to /go/{offerId} and then to the network and the shop. The link is sponsored and nofollow. We may earn a commission if you buy. You pay the shop’s price. The written disclosure is on the affiliate page, and the button is labelled Visit retailer so it is not disguised as a normal menu link.
Ads, where the page is allowed to show them, are labelled Advertisement and are not placed on the button. Empty pages, errors, and legal pages do not load the ad script.
After you land
Check the variant, the returns window, and the total with delivery. If the shop is not the product you expected, use the shop’s back button and pick another offer or stop. A comparison site is allowed to be a place you leave without buying.
Guides link into categories so this hop is available when the feed has rows. They do not replace the shop’s own description, and they do not report tests we have not done.
The page you should be on
Visit retailer belongs on a product page that has a photo, a plain name, and at least one live offer. If the name is a string of keywords, if the photo is missing, or if the only offer is a shop you cannot read, go back to the category and pick another row. The button is not an obligation. It is a hop to a shop. You can decide not to hop.
Check the price is in pounds if you are shopping the UK view, and that the size or model matches what you wrote down before you opened the site. A guide on this website is here so you do that writing first: capacity for an air fryer, set number for LEGO, millilitres for a perfume, screen size for a television. The button comes last, not first.
What the hop is
The button goes to a FindAProduct address under /go/ and then to the retailer’s affiliate link, then to the shop. That is how the network knows the click came from us. It is marked sponsored and nofollow on the page. We may be paid if you buy. We are not paid by adding a fee on top of the shop’s price. You should see the shop’s own basket before you pay. If a page asks for your card before you have seen the shop, close it.
Publisher ‘visit website’ links, when a real publisher product exists, go to that publisher’s page rather than through a shop network. They are still not our checkout. The homepage does not currently promote a shelf of publisher samples. Do not follow a link on a row that looks like a test. Ordinary retailer hops are the normal path, and they should land on a shop you can identify.
On the shop’s site
Confirm the model, the colour, the size, and the delivery cost. Add those up in your head. A comparison that ignored delivery has not finished. Read the returns line while you still have the packaging in mind: who pays for the return of a large television or a mattress, and how many days you have. If the shop is outside the UK, read that too. A lower unit price can be a worse return.
Pay the shop, not a page that popped up over it. Keep the confirmation email. If the goods are faulty, the shop is who you talk to. If the goods are not as described, the shop is who you talk to. FindAProduct can correct a bad catalogue row if you send the URL. We cannot refund a retailer order, because we never took the money and we never held the item.
After you buy
If you want to, come back and leave a review on the product you actually received. Say what you bought and from which shop if you know it. Do not paste a review you saw somewhere else. The useful reviews are specific and calm. They are not a substitute for the manufacturer’s manual, and they are not something we pay for.
If the hop failed, the price changed, or the shop was out of stock, that is the feed being behind the shop. Choose another listed shop or wait for the next import. Do not refresh hoping for a bigger discount badge. Badges follow the plausibility rule or they stay hidden. The calm path is the same every time: match the product, read two shops when two exist, visit one, pay them, keep the receipt.
A pause that saves a bad buy
Read the title aloud. If you cannot say what the product is in one sentence — the brand, the model or size, and the thing it is — you are not ready to click. Keyword titles are how the wrong variant lands in a basket. The photo should match that sentence. A lifestyle image with no product, or a placeholder, is a reason to pick a different row. The public catalogue tries to drop those before you see them. If one remains, your pause is the filter.
Then look at the shop name. A name you can search and a returns page you can open are the minimum. Delivery of something heavy should be described before you pay, not discovered as a surcharge after you have created an account. Open Visit retailer in the same window, confirm the shop’s basket matches the sentence you said aloud, and only then pay. If it does not match, go back. The affiliate hop will still be there. Nothing about the commission requires you to finish a mismatched order.
Guides on this site link into categories so that this pause has somewhere to go afterwards. The category is the list. The product is the comparison when two shops are live. The button is the last step, marked as sponsored, and it never takes the card payment itself. If a guide’s price line is quiet, that means the feed had no public UK rows to summarise. It is not a hidden typical price. Wait for rows, or shop a retailer you already know, and compare again when the category fills.
Visit retailer links on the category pages are affiliate links. Read the affiliate disclosure.
