How to choose accessories without buying the prop

How we choose products: rows come from in-stock affiliate feeds that have a name, a price, and a photo when the shop sent one. We do not test the products, and a higher commission does not move a shop up the list.
Accessories is a wide file. A belt, a hat, a scarf, and a piece of jewellery should not share a price comparison. Match the object, then the size or the metal words in the title.
Name the object
Decide belt, hat, scarf, gloves, sunglasses, or jewellery before you scroll. The department will mix them. A photo of a model wearing three things is not a set unless the title says set. Props are the usual mistake. A bag pictured with a purse you will not receive is still just the bag.
Size for gloves, a belt length, and a hat circumference are the facts that make a price comparable. If they are missing, the listing is incomplete. Children’s and adults’ accessories share feeds. Check which one the title names.
Materials and plated words
Leather, fabric, and a coated synthetic are different. ‘Gold’ on a fashion earring is often a colour word, not a metal. If you need a stated metal, the title or the shop page has to say it. We do not assay jewellery and we do not certify sunglasses.
A multipack of socks or hair ties is a count, like a T-shirt multipack. Six is not one. Match the count. A replacement strap for a watch is not the watch.
Price and the catalogue
A simple everyday extra, a mid-priced bag or belt, and a dearer labelled piece are different jobs. Compare inside one object. One shop is one offer. Postage on a small item can exceed the saving.
From our catalogue, start at accessories. For a bag, use backpacks. Leave a title that is only keywords. Visit retailer opens the shop. You pay their price. We may earn a commission. It is not added at the till.
How we choose products
FindAProduct lists accessories that shops send through affiliate feeds and that still look in stock: a readable name, a price, and a photo when the merchant included one. We do not buy the products, wear them, or run them. We do not invent a winner.
Visit retailer is an affiliate link. The shop or the network may pay a commission if you buy. That payment is not added to the price, and it is not how we order the shops. If the live list is thin, this guide still explains the decision and the category page says what the feed currently has.
A last pass before you pay
Belts need a length or a waist range. Hats need a size or an adjustable strap stated in the title. Gloves need a size. If none of those appear, you are guessing. Guessing is how a cheap accessory becomes a return. The shop’s chart is the correction after Visit retailer. We do not measure heads or hands.
Sunglasses are an accessory and a safety-adjacent object. UV wording, if you rely on it, has to be on the shop page. A dark lens in a photo is not that wording. We do not test lenses. A fashion pair and a sports pair with a stated standard are different products. Match the words, not the tint.
Jewellery filings deserve extra care. A plated colour and a stated metal are different sentences. If the title only says gold, do not upgrade that to a hallmark in your head. Hallmarks are a shop and assay matter. We do not describe jewellery as investment. A pair of earrings and a single earring are different counts. Read ‘pair’.
Sets of hair ties, socks, or handkerchiefs are counts. Compare six with six. A photo of a full outfit is not the set. On the accessories list, name the object and ignore the rest of the scroll. One shop is one offer. A second shop with the same size and the same object is the comparison. Postage on a small parcel can cost more than the item. Check it on the shop page.
A belt’s buckle finish and the strap length are the whole product. A reversible belt is different from a single-colour belt. If the title does not say reversible, do not assume the photo of two colours means both sides. Hats with an adjustable strap still vary. If you are between sizes, the shop chart is the only text that can help, and even that is a chart, not a fitting. We do not keep a mannequin.
Sunglasses cases and a pouch in the photo are included only when the title says so. A lens width in millimetres is the adult comparison. A child’s pair will not state an adult width. Leave it. Jewellery chains need a length. A choker and a long chain are different products that a cropped photo can hide. If the title has no centimetres, you are guessing the length. Guessing is optional. Paying is not. Read the shop page first. A gift box changes the price and the returns story, because a box that has been wrapped may not come back. If you do not need the box, buy the plain row. If you do, do not compare it with the unboxed one and call the gap a trick. A spare buckle, a dust bag, and a cloth for lenses are the same kind of extra. Named in the title, they are part of the price. Absent from the title, they are not yours. Do not pay for a photograph. A cloth, a pouch, and a box are the same rule: named, included; unnamed, not included. Measure a belt against a belt you already wear if the shop gives a centimetre length. If they do not, you are still guessing. Leave the row until a length or a size is printed. A guess that happens to fit is luck, not a comparison.
Details the feed leaves out
Scarves and gloves are seasonal and sized differently. A one-size glove is often a poor fit. A scarf’s length in centimetres, when stated, tells you if it wraps once or three times. If it is not stated, you do not know. A photo of a knot is not a measurement.
A watch strap’s lug width is the number that makes it fit. Millimetres matter. A ‘universal’ strap is a guess. Match the width if the title has it. A strap is not the watch. A battery is not the watch. Leave those rows if you came for a belt or a hat.
Care for leather belts and fabric caps is ordinary: dry them, do not soak them. We do not wear the row to see if the dye runs. The shop page is where a material percentage has to appear if you need it. Until it appears, do not pay a leather price for a word the title never used.
Questions shoppers ask
Is everything in the photo included?
No. Only what the title lists. A model’s outfit is not the product.
Do you test sunglasses or jewellery?
No. We do not wear them or test metals. Read the material words on the shop page.
Why is one row much cheaper?
It may be a different object, a child’s size, or a single piece against a set.
