How to read a FindAProduct listing

Start with the photo and the name

A usable listing has a real product photo and a name a person would search for. If the image is a “no photo” tile, or the title is a string of model codes and shipping words, do not treat it as a finished page.

The description often comes from the retailer feed. We strip broken HTML and drop text that is clearly the wrong language, but we do not rewrite a shop’s copy into a review. If the description is empty, compare on price and the shop name only.

Shops, country and currency

The country control filters which offers we show. UK / GBP is the default for findaproduct.co.uk. All countries can include shops that will not deliver to you, or will add a large postage fee at checkout.

A page that says there is no live price in your selected currency is not broken. It means the current feed has no matching offer. Open all countries or pick another product.

Reviews on this site

Reviews on a product page are from people who left them on FindAProduct, not copied star ratings from Amazon or the retailer. If the count is zero, nobody has reviewed it here yet. That is normal on a new comparison page.

Walk away when

The only shop is one you have never heard of and the price is far below the others; the photo does not match the name; or the listing looks like a wholesale lot, adult product, or marketplace junk in the wrong category. Category names come from feeds and can be noisy. Use search if the department does not match the item.
